Portfolio > By Chance-Connection Series

My smaller two-dimensional By-Chance Connection series as microscope slides of social interaction; a small, detailed and information-rich image that represents only a tiny sliver of a larger social organism. These works start with game parameters that inform the placement of links and channels on a 2-D plane in a structured aleatoric/accidental way. From there, the resulting connections trigger memories and associations that turn the game tiles into ropes, chain links, brambles, etc. The image made is a map of human connections created through systems, parameters and chance.
